We travel on Route 6 at least once every year or so on our way to and from nhtorern Nevada. If this is the abandoned gas station I think it is, I can only report that I was aware of it but only peripherally driving north. Coming back one year and getting low on gas, I plotted my next stop would be that gas station, not realizing that it was closed. For some reason, I changed my mind and gassed up before hitting that barren stretch of Route 6. Good thing. It was a hot day and we were running the air conditioner. On top of that, construction on Route 6 held us up. Had I waited to gas up, I would have been stranded on Route 6. And I wouldn't have been in a photo frame of mind.
